When your pet is nearing the end of its life, Home to Halo Veterinary Hospice offers comfort care. Up until a natural death happens or a humane euthanasia is selected, the objective is to maintain or improve your pet’s quality of life. The focus is shifted to caring, not curing.
Most at-home hospice visits last from 1- ½ hours. We provide guidance to assess your pet’s quality of life and answer any questions you may have about the hospice and end-of-life process. We will discuss your pet’s condition and medical history, perform a full physical examination, and observe home activities and environment. If hospice care is appropriate, Dr. Hogan will go over recommendations and a plan for continued care.
